This is our unique, deep, ridiculously smoky Bengali kitchen staple, the "bhaja moshla". An heirloom composition, passed down directly from Saptarshi's Dida via his mother, it adds a punch to phuchka, churmur and chaats; and gives the labra or pachmishali torkari its final, festive touch.

Spice level 1

Mild heat that will not be noticeable when added to dishes.

What sets us apart?

Made Fresh

We measure, roast, and grind these spice-mixes a day or two before we ship them to you. Like we always say, these are the next best thing to homemade.

Most spice companies, even the ones in fancy packaging, powder and package their spices in India. These spices spend months in docks, ships, customs, and warehouses, before they are shipped to customers.

Made in Europe 🇪🇺

These spice mixes are made in sunny Lisbon! Every business-person we spoke to told us this was a bad idea—stricter regulations, and higher rent, labour, and ingredient costs—but we want to give this a fair shot.

Made by Us

We, Insiya and Saptarshi, are making these ourselves with the same meticulousness and care that goes into every Bong Eats video. The goal remains the same—to enable more people to cook and eat at home.

Currently, we ship to all the EU countries and to the UK.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on orders over €35 / £35. Orders below that threshold have a nominal fee, computed at checkout.
